Town of Monument
As a municipality in the immediate area (and with the proposed Buc-ee’s boundary now abutting Monument borders), the Town of Monument can object to the proposal. Let the council know that you do not want this in the area and urge them to act!

El Paso County Board of County Commissioners
The El Paso County (EPCO) Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) will make the decision if Buc-ee’s applies with the County and a public hearing is required. While many of the BoCCs are known to side with developers, push them to make the right decision in the interest of the public!

Require El Paso County to properly zone this development
Buc-ee’s is attempting to circumvent a public hearing by pushing the EPCO Planning and Community Development Department (PCD) to administratively approve the existing obsolete C-1 zoning which was intended to provide services to the immediate community. Tell the EPCO PCD that Buc-ee’s should not be allowed to exploit loopholes and that a public hearing and public transparency is required!
